The game world has moments of open sky. I thought I'd take some steps toward making our sky unique. I've created a cloud material that I'll later integrate into the world, but I couldn't help but make sure it would be as charming a the rest of the world. What better way than making some custom cloud shapes!

This week in art

After some discussion with the level design department and the art department, it's been determined that my time would be best served in the art department this week. I spent some time setting up a live tracking document with the up to date asset list to help the art department track their pipeline.

Enemy Block-out

The block-out stage is what we are calling our place-holder assets. This asset gives us an instance in engine that more accurately represents the final intent of any given item. These models are named with final naming conventions and placed in engine where they will be easily replaced with new iterations of the asset.

Overview

This weeks tasks include world building, 3D modeling, Research, and sound design.

Sound Design

I wanted to play around with some noises regarding our townsfolk. We envision them to be tiny and weak as compared with our main character. The most striking feature of these characters is that they are unintelligent and do not speak English.  

2D Animated Logo

I snagged the .psd of the game logo and created an animated version for it for our presentation.
